US spending on online content grew 16% to nearly $1 bln in the first half of 2005, driven mostly by online music. Spending was at $853 mln in the first six months of 2004, according to the Online Publishers Association. Spending in entertainment and lifestyles services has surpassed the previous leader, personals and dating. People spent 45% more on music and other entertainment, compared with a 7.6% growth in finding love.
