MarketingVox published a summary of Compete research on search engine loyalty. Out of all Internet users who turn to Google, 71.0% stay with the search engine for future searches. Google is followed in loyalty ratings by Yahoo with 48.1%; MSN with 27.8%; Excite with 23.4%; AOL with 23.2%; Ask with 21.6%; AltaVista with 16.6%; Clusty with 10.3%; A9 with 6.4%; Lycos with 5.8%.
