Integrated circuit package shipments to grow at 3.9% a year

Worldwide unit shipments of semiconductor integrated circuit packages will increase at a 3.9% compound annual growth rate from 2004 through 2010, reaching 137 bln units. The category composed of fine-pitch ball grid array packages and chip-scale packages will register a 19.8% CAGR, Gartner says.
