5.7% of energy produced in Germany in 2005 will come from wind power

German wind power production in 2005 is forecast to rise to 27.9 bln kilowatt hours (kWh) from 26.0 bln in 2004, wind power association BWE said. The sector would thus meet 5.7% of German power consumption in 2005, up from 5.5% of national power consumption in 2004.
