About 17% of the US wireless subscribers are prepaid customers, said CTIA. Among the major prepaid carriers, T-Mobile and Virgin Mobile each have about 5 mln users; Boost Mobile, owned by Sprint, has 4 mln and Verizon Wireless has 3 mln, according to CurrentAnalysis.
